This wind power article identifies benefits most people don’t know about. Renewable energy gets a federal tax credit of 2.1 cents per kilowatt-hour even if there is no one to sell it too! How great is that!
Why is that good? Solterra Renewable Technologies (Ticker QTMM) solar cells will generate 24/7 maximizing power during the day when it is needed most and minimized at night but still generating and get the 2.1 cent subsidy. The new Quantum Dot solar cell will replace the silicon wafer solar cell to allow solar to achieve grid parity. The new proprietary Quantum Dot technology is more economical, more energy efficient, has a broader spectral performance and Solterra reduced the cost of Quantum Dot production by more than 90%. The new solar cells will not need water for a cooling source. They can be placed close to the transmission lines as they are not dependent on specific windy locations since the Sun is everywhere. They will cost less than the wind turbine start up investment and solar power is more environmentally friendly, particularly for the birds and much quieter too.  Recently the laws have been changing from the individual states to the Federal Government. Rebate programs, net metering, incentives programs designed to stimulate the economy from individual homes to businesses have been enacted or are planned but they won’t have a critical mass type on impact that the following will.  Prior to 2008 utilities were not allowed to directly benefit from federal solar tax credits. They were the ones being forced to buy the power from the independant providers when it wasn’t needed and you and I would be the ones paying for it.   When Congress extended those credits in 2008 they changed who could benefit to include electicity providers. Now that utilities do qualify and can cost-effectively build, own and operate their own solar farms and arrays the picture has changed. For two years the utilities have been looking but unwilling to cut into their profits to build costly solar projects. With the price of solar coming down for silicon they still haven’t made grid parity pricing yet and will continue to need significant government support as they do in Germany to build their projects. But that is about to change in the very near future. Solterra Renewable Technologies, Inc. is using Quantum Materials Corporations revolutionary Tetrapod Quantum Dots to replace the high cost silicon wafer based solar cell with low cost flexible TQ-Dot solar cells.  The icing on the cake is Solterra will mass produce the revolutionary solar cells in the GIGAWATT capacity, not in years, or months but in weeks. Capacities that the utilities can relate to. Following history the greedy oil speculators and producers will keep prices at levels conducive to renewables gaining significant market share. That is why Solar is going to explode with QTMM/Solterra Solar cells making it happen with their Quantum Dot technology.

    lol cool stuff man.

Will this product be manufactred overseas? China builds fully 50% of the solar panels being buit now with Eurasia building 45%. The US only builds 5% now, It looks like The US has missed the Green revolution already! Or at least the American people are not going to participate, since the CEOs of American firms are loathe to employ them! Though they would sure like them to buy! I won’t invest in a firm that doesn’t want to employ me, I wont buy Sharp, Samsung, Siemens, or Xantrex (they build inverters, their an American firm but do their manufacturing in China) I am an electrical contractor and install solar panels, I might be cutting of my nose to site my face but I have principals!
